Plot

Summer has arrived, but Nobita wants to experience winter. Doraemon takes out the "Anyday Calendar" and lets Nobita adjust the date. Nobita uses the gadget haphazardly, changing the date and buying a Christmas present—the game "Reveal X Secret." He goes to Shizuka's house to play, but she's listless because she is happily swimming when suddenly it turns into winter. So Nobita uses the calendar to change the date back to summer, preparing to go swimming with Shizuka, but Shizuka goes swimming with Dekisugi. Nobita plans to use the calendar to change back to winter, but Shinro arrives and comments on the strange weather. Greedy Nobita then changes the date back to New Year's Day, getting extra New Year's money. Nobita plans to use the gadget to change Shizuka's birthday, but an earthquake suddenly occurs where he is. Doraemon enters the room and says that Nobita's haphazard playing with the gadget has caused celestial chaos, and soon the sun will engulf the earth. The television news announces the end of the world. Nobita and his family and relatives prepare to escape in a "Space Lifeboat," but Nobita wants to find Shizuka to escape with him, asking Doraemon and the others to wait for them to return. However, Nobita can't find Shizuka and is abandoned by Doraemon and the others. Nobita falls into despair and is soon pulled into space by the sun's powerful gravity. In his panic, Nobita hears someone ask him if he will swear never to act recklessly again. Nobita thinks it is God speaking to him and readily agrees. He then wakes up in front of his house. It turns out that Doraemon, along with Nobita's family, has secretly changed the calendar to April Fool's Day and uses the "Disaster Preparedness Device" to teach Nobita a lesson. Nobita is furious after discovering the truth but is powerless to do anything about it.
