One of chief officers in the Doraemon franchise.
Time Patrol is a futuristic law enforcement organization in Fujiko Fujio productions most notably Doraemon and Time Patrol Bon franchises.
Doraemon
Formed in the 22nd century, TP authorities strive to combat temporal criminals: those that seek to change history for their personal gain, while also risks in the change of timeline and world's history as whole.
In general, TP officers are very effective. They employ a variety of advanced technology, aircraft and experienced pilots. They also have guards stationed in various timelines and periods to detect criminals. Due to their ability to conjure forces via temporal methods, they are able to muster a massive army. However, they also have problem when comes to Time Criminals from farther future such as 23th Century due to them possessing far more advanced technology, hindering the arrest.
Despite their strength, Time Patrol aren't omnipotent, as their jurisdiction appears to only be limited to human people on Earth, with the following group being excluded/exempted despite their actions having effect on human history as whole:
- Aliens, Human/Civilization from other solar systems (Drifts in the Universe, Green Giant Legend, Battle of the Mermaid King)
- Demons (Great Adventure into the Underworld, New Great Adventure into the Underworld)
- Robots (Steel Troops, New Steel Troops)
- Other Earth's humanlike-civilization such as Undersea People, Dinosaur People, and the Sky People (Castle of the Undersea Devil, Knights on Dinosaurs, Kingdom of Clouds)
- People from parallel worlds (Diary on the Creation of the World)
Time Patrol also are vulnerable to time fabric tampering, making traveling impossible and forcing them to rely on the agents at that period to carry out the task instead.
History
In 2112: The Birth of Doraemon, it is shown that Time Patrol selects some members from Robot Cat's Audition, an event that happens after the school's graduation ceremony to determine the students' employment, mostly based on their marksmanship as in the case of Dora the Kid.
It is possible for a teenager to be employed as member of the Time Patrol, such as in the case of Lulu, though in this case the person generally starts as a trainee before climbing up in rank and becoming a real member.
Time Patrol Bon
Bon Namihira Yumiko Yasukawa and Buyoyon saved Ream Stream in episode "Time Patrol Bon".
The world building in the Time Patrol Bon especially regards Time Patrol's composition, tasks, regulations, technologies, items, and many other aspects are drastically different from that of the Doraemon franchise, however there are also consistencies with the Doraemon franchises.
Their tasks are extremely dangerous and confidential. Agents can be easily killed during the missions not only due to accidents but also instead of rescue targets and other animals and people.
One of the basic rules of Time Patrol missions is not to rescue historically important figures, however there had been some exceptions such as Tamamo-no-Mae who was solely regarded as a fictional figure as the famous fox spirit in later years. Bon Namihira himself had also faced an exceptional treatment due to his involvement in the history of mankind. Other examples are the Cynognathus (Juramaia in the 2024 anime) in the Cretaceous period; they were rescued by Bon and Ream because they were about to be artificially slaughtered by time criminals, and their survivals were vital to the natural history of the Earth. Bon accidentally saved Philippides and caused a change in history, therefore Bon instead replaced Philippides and became the sire of marathon.

Trivia
Dorami with Ream and Bon and Yumiko in the 2016 film.
- The unnamed female officer along with two other offices in Doraemon: Nobita and the Birth of Japan 2016 resembles Ream Stream, Bon Namihira, and Yumiko Yasukawa from Time Patrol Bon, another franchise by Fujiko F. Fujio. Their actual names were later confirmed to be same as Time Patrol Bon when the film was aired on TV in Japan, and Ream's name was also confirmed in a video game. However actual identities of them whether or not being the same individuals from Time Patrol Bon were not verified.
